Nursing your little one does more than just provide breastmilk. It offers a time to bond, releases oxytocin which makes you feel relaxed, and gives optimum nutrition and immune boosting benefits to your child. In this day and age, some women are still hesitant to nurse in public.
Today many celebrity moms are proponents of breastfeeding and are comfortable nursing while out and about. We celebrate and salute these moms who set a wonderful example for nursing and breastfeeding in public.
"I lost most of my weight from breastfeeding and I encourage women to do it; It's just so good for the baby and good for yourself."
"I stay healthy by working out but not dieting, because I am a milk machine."
"I'm breastfeeding now so that's a really wonderful experience -- challenging but wonderful. My favorite thing is feeling that incredible amount of love when you meet your baby and you wake up the next morning and you think, 'Wow!'"
“It’s like two little liposuction machines on you,” she said. “They suck the fat out of you. They call it the ‘double football hold.’ You hold one here, and here [gesturing to her breasts], like two footballs… They’re doing God’s work right there, helping me return to my birth weight.”
"Jason observed that a breast pump looks like something Katy Perry would wear to perform at the VMAs. #accurate #milkyfashion" - Olivia's Twitter account
“I think breast-feeding is healthy and natural and it’s a comfort to my baby.”
“It’s essential for the newborn and creates a bond between mother and her child. It’s a unique moment when the body changes to nurture; it’s the Nature’s blessing! Breastfeeding, mainly the first days, poses some challenges, but the reward is sublime. In addition to having all the proteins, fats, and vitamins the baby needs, breastfeeding is an act of love and affection…. It would be great if all the mothers could experience the breastfeeding.”
"I love it! I can't stop! I think I'm going to breastfeed him until he goes to college!"
“I don’t know when I’m going to stop breastfeeding… I’ll just keep going while I can – like, he’s getting his teeth so it is a little bit scary. He’s bitten me a few times!”
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt told People Magazine how breastfeeding both babies at the same time plays a part in managing the chaos. Angelina said, "They eat every three hours and I’m getting better at holding them both for [breast]feeding at the same time, so that helps. Usually, the other kids come in and hold them when they finish. They help with the baths and the changing." Brad added, "We try to get them to eat simultaneously for the sake of management, but it gets a little crowded at the bar!"

We often get calls from our Milk Nursingwear customers asking for help on determining which size they should order. Since everyone is proportioned differently, it’s difficult for us to recommend a size without your exact measurements – even with your height and weight.
Our suggestions to help you find the perfect fit:
– Have a soft measuring tape on hand to take your exact measurements.
– Measure around the fullest part of your bust, waist and hips.
– For our nursing tops, your bust measurement is most important.
– For our nursing dresses, your hip measurement is most important.
– We also advise reading the reviews for any item you are interested in — sometimes that can help when trying to see how an item runs.
You can locate our Garment and our Bra size chart here.
Once you have your measurements, we would happy to make a suggestion based upon the size chart if you would like to contact us.
When on our website, there is a link to our size charts at the bottom of the Milk Nursingwear homepage. You can also find a link below the choice of size/color on every product page of our fashionable nursing styles.
Finding the right fit will leave you happy and confident while nursing your little one in our line of flattering nursing tops and dresses.
